Return/Exchange Policy

Blue Ridge Pottery, Inc. is a family business and does not offer refunds on purchases made on the internet or at our Gallery/Studio locations in Stanardsville, Va.  We do accept exchanges on Product  if returned to us within 30 days from the date of your Sales Receipt ( or Ship date if the order was made online. )   All Exchanges are Final.  Shipping and Packaging fees are not refundable and any product being shipped back to you will be subject to applicable charges.  If unable to physically return the merchandise to our Gallery/Studio location, the product may be shipped back to us ( at your cost ) only if all the following criteria are met:

  • 1.      You have not removed the Pottery from its “Skin Packaging”.  All pottery is shipped secured to a heavy green cardboard stock by a heat sealed “Skin”.  If pottery has been removed from the skin, it can not be safely and securely shipped back to us. 
  • 2.      You have kept the box that the Pottery came in and can repackage the Pottery for safe shipment.  The boxes that we use are custom cut to the specifications of the green boards the Pottery comes “Skin Packed” to.  Layers of packing peanuts should separate green boards from the top and bottom of box by at least 1”.  Newspaper should not be used under any circumstance as box filler.  If pottery can not be repackaged in this way, it can not be safely and securely shipped back to us.
  • 3.      You have called Blue Ridge Pottery at 434-985-6080 and have been issued a Return Authorization Number.  Blue Ridge Pottery will not accept or receive boxes containing exchange merchandise unless the Return Authorization Number is issued beforehand and is clearly marked on the outside of the box.  This helps us make sure your your interests are protected and that criteria 1 and 2 have been met. 
  • 4.      You Ship All Merchandise back to Blue Ridge Pottery within 7 Days of Return Authorization.  A Restocking Fee of 10% will be deducted from your exchange amount on merchandise not shipped back to us within 7 days of Return Authorization.  We use the Postmark/Tracking Number from your preferred shipping method as verification of your ship date.  Pottery Returned to us outside of 30 days from the date of your Sales Receipt ( or Ship date if the order was made online. ) or after the 7 Day Return Authorization Grace Period will be refused and no exchange value issued.

Blue Ridge Pottery will inspect Pottery upon receipt for damages, contact you with your exchange amount, assist in product selection, and make arrangements for payment of any balance and applicable Packaging and Shipping Fees.  Any Broken Pottery received by Blue Ridge Pottery will be deducted from the exchange amount.  You may file a claim with your shipping agent for compensation on merchandise damaged.
